I shoot in the Czech Republic with air gun Carl Walther LG400 – HFT field shooting

Hunter Field Target shooting competitions were organized in the Czech Republic.

Bohumin near Ostrava is the MECCA of field shooting. Over 100 shooters came to the two-day competition (Saturday and Sunday). Everyone had the opportunity to test their skills on a track consisting of 30 figures and test the currently available batches of pellets at the JSB factory on their air gun.

In laboratory conditions (see my video on selecting pellets), shooters could buy pellets at a very bargain price.

The track on the first and second day was medium-difficult. Figures dominated at medium and long distances. Literally a few were below 15 meters and the figure at the minimum distance caused controversy due to its distance. Forced postures, set near their maximum, i.e. 32 meters. The figures were often placed in the shadow, making accurate aiming difficult, and shooting at a small angle made it even more difficult to adopt the correct shooting stance.

Poles dominated the podium. After two days of competition on two differently arranged Hunter Field Target tracks, Polish competitors took all the prize-winning places in the HFT1 (PCP rifles) and HFT2 (spring air rifles) categories.

The organizers provided lunch included in the entry fee, 600 CZK (Czech crown) and a mug of beer after the competition. Unfortunately, on hot days the organizer does not provide drinking water for shooters, which is incomprehensible to me, but I am slowly getting used to it.
