Shooting an air gun standing at 32 meters.

Today we’re talking about forced stance shooting. This is one of the elements of field shooting that loses the most points during competitions. In today’s episode I will show you what the correct stance looks like for shooting an air gun at over 30 meters while standing.

First of all, why will I shoot at 32 meters? This is the maximum distance for forced stance according to the hunter field target regulations. During competitions, the figure is often placed around 30 meters away.

The first rule of shooting an air gun from a forced standing position is, of course, the requirement to touch the so-called shooting point with the foot. stake.

We place our left foot on the stake and the right foot, standing slightly apart, we move it slightly to the right by 45 degrees. We bend our backs back and stack the windbreaker on top of each other.

Now place the rifle under the shooter. If we can adjust the presser foot, we set its distance so that the elbow is always close to the body and the hand touches the shoulder. With this hand position (as close to the shoulder as possible), we are to grab the rifle. The hand should adhere to the body. The elbow should be as close to the chest as possible.

Before you pull the trigger, remember to be above the target. By fully releasing the air, you will have 5 seconds to fire. If you are below your target, correct your attitude and try again.
