Unboxing of the new air rifle called STEYR CHALLENGE HFT SUPER in the gold edition.
This version of the air rifle is not available in the regular offer. The episode shows the differences to the hft version and what we get with the rifle.
The new STEYR Challenge HFt air rifle with the working name SUPER HFT is a well-known system from the HFT version. The changes that were applied are a combination of the existing version with elements of the FT version. We are talking about a different butt plate, which comes from the manufacturer MEC, allowing for any adjustment. Another novelty of this model is the cheek piece, which comes from the standard challenge version, where we no longer have a square block as in the HFT version. The replaced cheek piece is now freely adjustable, for the individual settings of the shooter.
The last significant modification that distinguishes this version of the match air rifle is the PALMREST. This also comes from the match version of STEYR challenge. In the typical version of the Steyr HFT, the palmrest cannot be adjusted in height, which is why many shooters modify this element of the rifle, replacing it with other types of palmrest. You can only increase the distance by using an appropriate extension, but you will not be able to achieve the ideal setting anyway. The STEYR HFT SUPER palmrest comes with two aluminum spacers. One is short, about 1 cm, and the other is well over 5 cm. Using one or the other, we have smooth adjustment of the palmrest height from the rifle stock. In the video, I show my 3D-printed distance, because my shooting style requires an intermediate distance. Tests of the printed distance determined the ideal height at 5 cm, and now I can order just such a distance for the palmrest.
The gold stock is one of several available in STEYR SPORT colors in which you can order the air rifle. Additionally, we have three barrel lengths to choose from (45 cm, 55 cm and 65 cm) and a color (black or silver). The manufacturer also gives you the option of choosing the right size of the so-called handle. GRIP is the construction of the hand.
The STEYR challenge HFT super air rifle can also be left-handed.
This is one of the best match air rifles currently available for hunter field target shooting.
